Lauren Sheree is an artist and musician hailing from Wakka Wakka Country and now based on Wurundjeri land in Melbourne. Since relocating to Melbourne in 2016, Lauren has immersed herself in the vibrant arts scene, leaving a mark as a multi-talented creative force. As a musician, Lauren’s journey began in Melbourne in 2019, when she learnt to play the ukulele to get over a fear of singing in front of people. Lauren’s love of music blossomed when she attended an open mic night at the Retreat Hotel in Brunswick and was invited to a jam session at Bakehouse Studio. It was there that she formed her current band, including several members of The Deans of Soul. Lauren’s musical talents have graced stages at events like Brunswick Music Festival, Live at the Bowl @ Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and Yirramboi Festival, solidifying her status as an up-and-coming musician.
